- 0.5 cup buttermilk
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- 0.6666667 cup dark-brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 0.5 cup flour
- 2 tea-spoon bak-ing powder
- 0.75 tea-spoon #ground ginger
- 0.5 cup light-brown sugar
- 0.75 cup maple syrup
- 1.25 cups maple syrup
- 0.5 cup wal-nuts
- 1 cup soft-ened
- 1 cup con-fec-tion-ers' sugar
- 2 table-spoons maple sugar
- 0.25 tea-spoon salt
- 0.5 tea-spoon #salt
- 1 tea-spoon bak-ing soda
- 0.75 tea-spoon of vanilla extract
- 2 tea-spoons #vanilla extract

1. For the Cupcakes 2. Preheat your oven 350 degrees F.Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ginger together. Set aside.Beat the butter and sugar on medium speed in a large bowl until they are fluffy. 3. Add in eggs, syrup and vanilla. 4. Mix until blended.Then mix in the flour mixture alternating with the buttermilk. Do about one-third of the flour and then one-third of the buttermilk, and so on. 5. Add the nuts if using.Fill muffin or cupcake tins, either lined or buttered, according to your preference. Cook for approximately 20 minutes or until your tester comes out clean.Cool totally.For the Frosting 6. Beat the softened butter, cream cheese, brown sugar and salt in a medium-sized bowl until fluffy. Once again, it is critical that your ingredients be softened.While you keep beating, add both the maple syrup and the vanilla.Slowly add the confectioners sugar and gradually increase the speed to high.
