1Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, downloading the app, or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2Description of Service
Mel's Cookbook provides: personalized recipe suggestions, fridge scan technology that identifies ingredients and suggests recipes, Kroger grocery cart integration to add ingredients directly to your Kroger shopping cart, and a premium subscription with enhanced features at $9.99/month.
3User Accounts
You must provide accurate information during registration and maintain the confidentiality of your credentials. Notify us at [email protected] of any unauthorized access. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
4Premium Subscription
Subscriptions are $9.99/month, billed monthly and auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before renewal. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account. No refunds for partial periods except where required by law. We may modify pricing with 30 days notice.
5Kroger Integration
Kroger's own terms govern your Kroger account and purchases. We are not responsible for product availability or order fulfillment. We access only product search and cart write permissions. You may revoke access at any time via your Kroger account settings.
6Fridge Scan Feature
Images may be processed by third-party AI services to identify ingredients. We do not permanently store fridge scan images. Ingredient identification may not be 100% accurate. Verify ingredients and allergens before preparing any recipe.
7User Content
By submitting content you grant Mel's Cookbook LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use and display it in connection with the Service.
8Prohibited Conduct
Do not use the Service unlawfully, attempt unauthorized access, scrape content, transmit malware, impersonate others, or interfere with Service performance.
9Intellectual Property
All content and features are owned by Mel's Cookbook LLC or its licensors. No reproduction without written consent.
10Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES. Recipe suggestions are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional dietary or medical advice.
11Limitation of Liability
MEL'S COOKBOOK LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED AMOUNTS PAID IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS.
12Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Michigan courts.
